Driver Code of Conduct
1. Professionalism
Drivers must always represent SwiftlyThere with professionalism. This includes:
- Being polite and respectful
- Wearing clean, appropriate clothing in line with health and safety
- Communicating clearly with customers
- Follow all instructions posted on job
2. Punctuality
Drivers must:
- Arrive at pickup and delivery locations on time
- Notify SwiftlyThere immediately if delays occur
3. Parcel Handling
Drivers must:
- Handle all parcels with care
- Follow special handling instructions (Fragile, High‑Value)
- Ensure parcels are secured during transport
4. Safety
Drivers must:
- Follow all UK road laws
- Avoid dangerous driving
- Keep their vehicle roadworthy and insured
5. Communication
Drivers must:
- Update delivery statuses promptly
- Report issues immediately
- Provide proof of delivery using the CV platform or hard copies of PODs
6. Confidentiality
Drivers must protect customer information and never share:
- Addresses
- Phone numbers
- Parcel details
7. Prohibited Behaviour
Drivers must not:
- Smoke in the vehicle during deliveries
- Consume alcohol or drugs
- Use abusive language
- Tamper with parcels
8. Disciplinary Action
Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Warnings
- Suspension
- Termination of contract

1. Your Responsibilities
- Deliver parcels safely and on time
- Communicate clearly with customers

2. Appearance & Conduct
Drivers must:
- Dress appropriately (clean clothing, no offensive logos)
- Wear appropriate safety clothing as directed
- Be polite and respectful
- No smoking or vaping during deliveries
- Never use abusive language
- Never consume alcohol or drugs while working
3. Vehicle Standards
Your vehicle must:
- Be fully insured for courier work
- Have valid MOT and tax
- Be clean and tidy
- Have secure space for parcels
4. Parcel Handling
- Always check labels before loading
- Keep fragile items separate
- Never force items into tight spaces
- Follow special handling instructions
- Secure the load appropriately with straps or cover with blankets
5. Status Updates
Drivers must update the following statuses in real time:
- Driver Assigned
- Collected
- Out for Delivery
- Delivered
- Attempted Delivery
6. Proof of Delivery (POD)
Acceptable POD includes:
- Full name of recipient
- Signature
- Photo of parcel at safe location with signage
- Any paperwork provided at collection must be completed and uploaded to the system upon delivery
7. Safety
- Follow speed limits
- Take breaks when needed
- Report accidents immediately
8. Communication
If you encounter delays, issues, or customer concerns, contact SwiftlyThere support immediately.
9. Payments
Drivers are paid weekly or monthly depending on contract type.
10. Disciplinary Process
Failure to follow guidelines may result in:
- Verbal warning
- Written warning
- Suspension
- Termination
